Everton’s xG of 0.82 surpassed that of Spurs, 0.55. Everton were also a better side in terms of attack, as indicated by their attacking metrics. They were effective in their pressing, as indicated by their lower PPDA value.

Both the teams struggled in terms of attempting shots on target. Demarai Gray had the highest xG in the match, 0.31, while he also took the highest number of shots, four, and led the dribbles chart with 10 dribbles. Most of the above stats were dominated by Everton.

Everton took a total of 11 shots with just one on target.

Spurs took a total of eight shots with none on target.

The xT timeline was dominated by the home side throughout the game, however, the visitors did try to create some last-minute chances, but failed to do so. On the other hand, the xG timeline tells a different story, with Spurs dominating the stats.

Spurs won most of their aerial duels. Cristian Romero and Davies both won three aerial duels each for their team.

Hojbjerg recovered six out of his 11 loose ball duels.

With the arrival of Antonio Conte, Spurs seems optimistic going into the coming fixture. They displayed more intensity in the game against Everton and will be looking forward to keep climbing up the table while Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways as they have failed to register a win in their last five games.
